SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dean Kemper Bowen of East Moline, who 
4passed away on March 7, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dean Bowen was born on September 20, 1945 in 
6Omaha, Nebraska; his parents were Dean, Sr. and Gladys Bowen; 
7he married Reba Dickey in 1971, and they later divorced; he 
8married Mary Watson Wenstrom Ramos on June 14, 1994 in Elico, 
9Nevada; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dean Bowen served in the United States Navy during 
11the Vietnam War; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dean Bowen worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 
1330 years until his retirement in 2002; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dean Bowen was a member of Disabled American 
15Veterans in Lincoln, Nebraska and a show judge for the 
16International Show Car Association; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Dean Bowen is survived by his wife, Mary; his 
18daughters, Kendra (Glen) Adams and Karis Bowen; his 
19granddaughters, Karis and Kyla Adams; and his stepson, Kevin 
20(Tina) Wenstrom; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Dean Kemper Bowen; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Dean Bowen as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
