SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Kenneth Dale "Red" Hill, who passed away 
4on March 14, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill was born on September 10, 1934 in 
6Benton; his parents were Kenneth H. Hill and Effie M. Hill; he 
7married Priscilla "Pat" Ponsetti on July 21, 1967 in Benton; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill served his country in the United 
10States Army in Germany during the Korean War; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill retired as a lineman with CIPS after 
12more than 30 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill was a member of International 
14Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702, the Benton Elks 
15Club, and the Boneyard Boccie Ball Club; he enjoyed hunting and 
16fishing; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill was preceded in death by his parents 
18and his sister, M. Gail (Joseph W.) Wilkerson; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Kenneth Hill is survived by his wife of 48 years,

1Priscilla "Pat" Hill; his stepdaughter, Jamie (Jimmy) Neal; his 
2grandchildren, Adam Neal and Abby Neal; his niece, Kimberly 
3(Chuck) Valdez; and his nephew, John (Susan) Wilkerson; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Dale "Red" 
8Hill; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Kenneth Hill as an expression of our 
11sympathy.
