SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Francis X. Gavin; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin served in the United States Army Air 
5Corp during World War II; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin retired as a Lieutenant with the 
7Chicago Police Department; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin was a  longtime member of the Ted 
9Knusman AMVETS Post #13; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin was preceded in death by his 
11parents,
William and Margaret (Browne) Gavin; his wife, Anna 
12Marie
(Brennan); his son, Timothy; and his brother, William; 
13and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin is survived by his children,

15Patricia (Kenneth) Hoffman, William (Catherine), and James; 
16his grandchildren, Kenneth, Margaret (David), Andrew, 
17Jennifer, Timothy, William, Tara, Kaitlyn, Erin, and Patrick; 
18his
brothers, Thomas, James, Walter, and John; and his sister,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Francis X. Gavin, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Francis Gavin as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
