SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Randall B. Westphal of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on March 16, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Randall Westphal was born in Moline to Edwin and 
6Helen Purcell Westphal on December 29, 1942; he served in the 
7United States Air Force and married Carole Beselin in Rock 
8Island in 1969; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Randall Westphal retired from Rock Island Arsenal 
10after 35 years of service; he also worked at Nixalite for many 
11years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Randall Westphal enjoyed Sprint Car racing; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Randall Westphal was preceded in death by his 
14parents and his grandparents, Fred and Sarah Parker; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Randall Westphal is survived by his daughter, Jodi 
16(Lyle) Heinrich; his stepson, Jesse Olson; and his 
17grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan, Grace, and Travis; therefore, 
18be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Randall B. Westphal, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Randall Westphal as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
