SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael Bernard Jones of North Chicago, 
4who passed away on March 12, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Jones was born in Waukegan to Amos and 
6Cleo Jones on March 10, 1960; he graduated from North Chicago 
7Community High School in 1978, where he was All-County, 
8All-State, and American Wrestling Champion; he graduated from 
9Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in 
10Economics; he trained for the USA Olympics wrestling team; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Jones worked for the Mitsubishi 
12Corporation for many years; he opened IQ4U Catering in 
13Bloomington; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Jones was an avid fan of the Green Bay 
15Packers; he organized the first wrestling alumni gathering for 
16his high school in 2015; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Jones was preceded in death by his father, 
18Amos Jones, and his brother, Larry Jones; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Michael Jones is survived by his mother, Cleo 
20Jones; his two brothers, Ronald (Linda) Jones and Steve Jones;

1a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and 
2friends; and his two special friends, Damon Tuner and Todd 
3Hunter; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Michael Bernard Jones, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Michael Jones as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
