SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Eugene C. Andrus of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on March 18, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was born on November 12, 1936 in 
6Cresco; his parents were Glenn and Mary Reynolds Andrus; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was a veteran of the United States 
8Army; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus worked as a truck driver for Midwest 
10Carrier Transport for more than 30 years until his retirement 
11in 2005; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus was a member of the Watch Hill 
13Towers Social Club and the International Brotherhood of 
14Teamsters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Eugene Andrus is survived by his sons, Robert 
16Andrus, Richard Andrus, Eugene T. Andrus, Raymond Andrus, and 
17Wayne Andrus; his 26 grandchildren; his 14 
18great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Henry Andrus, Gerry 
19Andrus, and LaVonne Roethler; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene C. Andrus; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Eugene Andrus as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
