SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Evelyn L. Kidwell of Sullivan, who passed
4away on March 24, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kidwell was born on July 18, 1925 in
6Allenville; her parents were Willis Ansel and Marie Stokes
7Howard; she married William G. "Bill" Kidwell on March 11, 1945
8in Bethany; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kidwell worked as the secretary for
10Sullivan Sale Barn from 1955 to 1960; she also served as the
11Moultrie County Clerk from 1968 to 1978 and worked in the Audit
12and Collection Department at the Illinois Department of
13Revenue; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kidwell was a member of the Sullivan First
15Christian Church and the Moultrie County Republican Women; she
16served as president of the Sullivan Women's Civic Club and the
17Sullivan Business and Professional Women's Club; she also
18served as a Moultrie County Republican Chairwoman and on the
19Moultrie County Board of Review; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kidwell was preceded in death by her
21husband, William; her parents; her brother, Glen Howard; and

1her sister, Mertie Barnes; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Evelyn Kidwell is survived by her children, Greg
3(Nancy) Kidwell, Kent (Debbie) Kidwell, Connie (Rodger)
4England, and Cynthia Kidwell; her sisters, Norma Hickenbottom
5and Fran Dudley; her grandchildren, Grant Kidwell, Brandon
6(Dana) Kidwell, Camie (Jeff) Mead, and Chris (Dana) England;
7and her great-granddaughters, Allyson England, Michaela
8Kidwell, Peyton Mead, and Emma Mead; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Evelyn L. Kidwell; and
12be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Evelyn Kidwell as an expression of
15our sympathy.
