| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James L. Beard, who passed away on April |
| 4 | | 2, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Beard was born to Bob and Dodie Beard on |
| 6 | | March 5, 1954; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, James Beard attended high school in Northbrook and |
| 8 | | went to college at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; |
| 9 | | he attended law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Beard became a partner at DLA Piper and
was |
| 11 | | recognized in the top-tier of real estate lawyers in Chambers |
| 12 | | USA; he was designated an Illinois Super Lawyer
in real estate |
| 13 | | every year since 2005 and was named among the Top 10 Real |
| 14 | | Estate-Related Lawyers in
Illinois; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, James Beard is survived by his wife, Barby; his |
| 16 | | son, Nick (Kat); his daughter, Elle (Jake); and his siblings, |
| 17 | | Sally and
Bob; therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
