SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theresa H. Rousonelos, who passed away on
4April 7, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theresa Rousonelos was born to Joseph and Mary
6(Kobe) Horvat on July 31, 1934; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Theresa Rousonelos was a longtime parishioner of
8St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, where she greeted people,
9with a hug, compliment, and oftentimes a kiss; she made
10everyone feel as if they were a part of her family; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Theresa Rousonelos was proud of her Slovenian
12heritage, letting others know that you cannot spell the word
13"Slovenian" without "Love"; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Theresa Rousonelos was preceded in death by her
15daughter, Kimberly White; her parents; her sisters, Josephine
16Remus-Ercegovich, Catherine Sargent, Evelyn Mauro, Rose
17Meyers, and Lorraine Wedic; her brother, Joseph Horvat; and her
18brothers-in-law, Joe Lakotich and Leonard Suhadolc; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Theresa Rousonelos is survived by her loving
20husband of 54 years, Nicholas Rousonelos; her loving sons,

1Robert "Rocky" (Ginny) Babecki and Nicholas (Julie)
2Rousonelos; her numerous cherished grandchildren and
3great-grandchildren; her dear sisters, Dorothy Lakotich,
4Delores Suhadolc, and Maryann (Joseph) Pluth; her dear
5brothers, Robert (JoAnne) Horvat and Raymond (Gladys) Horvat;
6and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Theresa H. Rousonelos, and extend our sincere condolences to
10her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Theresa Rousonelos as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
