| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert J. Ford, Sr. of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 12, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. was born on February 28, 1923 in |
| 6 | | Chicago; his parents were David George and Rose Mary Passman |
| 7 | | Ford; he married Virginia Latham on July 15, 1950 in Davenport; |
| 8 | | and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. served in the United States Army |
| 10 | | Air Corps, piloting a B-24 Liberator during World War II; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. was employed at Deere and Company |
| 12 | | in Moline for 30 years; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. was a member of Christ the King |
| 14 | | Church in Moline; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. was an avid member of the Alleman |
| 16 | | Pioneer Booster Club and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and |
| 17 | | Chicago Bears; he also enjoyed spending time with his |
| 18 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ford, Sr. was preceded in death by his |
