SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry D. Molck, who passed away on April
414, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Molck graduated from Joliet Township High
6School in 1951, where he developed his life-long love of
7sports; after graduation, he signed a contract with the St.
8Louis Browns minor league baseball club and played for two
9years before joining the United States Navy; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Larry Molck was an Operating Engineer and member
11of the Local 150 Operating Engineers for more than 50 years; he
12spent the majority of his career with the former Brown and
13Lambrecht Excavating; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Larry Molck always remained hopeful that the
15Chicago Cubs would win the World Series and it was a great
16enjoyment for him to watch the Cubs win their home opener this
17year; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Molck enjoyed taking care of his yard and
19gardens and spent many hours with friends and family in the
20backyard; he was also a longtime and Honorary Member of the
21South Side Civic Club and American Legion Post 1080; and

1    WHEREAS, Larry Molck is survived by his loving wife of 61
2years, Margery (Swearingen); his children, Cathy (James)
3Lowery (Molck), Malia (Stephen) Hrubec (Molck), and Michael
4Molck; his grandchildren, Sarah (Sean) Rogers (Rosendahl), Amy
5(Nicholas) Johnson (Hrubec), Andrew Hrubec, Adam and Kelly
6(Yandel) Molck, and Alan Molck; his great-grandchildren, John
7Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Erik Rogers, Rebecca Rogers, Ryan Rogers,
8Lucas Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Payton Johnson, Brenden Molck,
9Caleb Molck, Logan Molck, and Malia Molck; several nieces,
10nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his beloved Pug,
11Ruby Mae; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Larry D. Molck, and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Larry Molck as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
