SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gerald A. "Yogi" Bauman of Union, who
4passed away on March 22, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gerald Bauman was born on October 14, 1941; his
6parents were Arnold and Bernice Bauman; he married Dora Munson
7Yardley on April 13, 1968; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Gerald Bauman was a proud 50-year member of the
9Laborers International Union of North America as an officer in
10various capacities; he also served as President/Business
11Manager of Local 1035 from 1994 until his retirement in 1998;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gerald Bauman was a longstanding member with the
14Union Lions Club and Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329; he enjoyed
15boating, fishing, camping with his family and friends, playing
16golf, and watching the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gerald Bauman was preceded in death by his
18parents; his stepchildren, Mark Yardley and Dorene Yardley; and
19his grandson, Alexander Zank-Bauman; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Gerald Bauman is survived by his wife, Dora; his

1sons, Vernon (Tracy Vasquez) Bauman, Lowell (Dawn) Bauman, and
2Michael (Leticia Martinez) Bauman; his brother, Tom (Barbara)
3Bauman; his sisters, Carol (Richard) Swingle and Gloria Bauman;
4his grandchildren, Samuel Bauman, Amanda Bauman, Summer
5Bauman, Devon Gehrke, Austin Gehrke, and Corrin (Bryce)
6Prestwich; his great-grandson, Zayne Prestwich; and his many
7nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Gerald A. "Yogi"
12Bauman; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Gerald Bauman as an expression of
15our sympathy.
