SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Raymond D. Metzger of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on April 19, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger was born on September 15, 1939 in 
6Muscatine; his parents were Raymond and Florence Metzger; he 
7married Mary Kness on June 8, 1963 in Rock Island; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger served in the Illinois National 
9Guard for six years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger was a 1962 graduate of Augustana 
11College in Rock Island; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger retired from Case IH in East 
13Moline in 1997 after 38 years of service; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger was a member of St. Pius X 
15Catholic Church and Moose Lodge 190 in Rock Island; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Raymond Metzger is survived by his wife, Mary; his 
17children, Anne Meyer, Timothy Metzger, Michael Metzger, and Dan 
18Metzger; his grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Tatum, and 
19Tristan; his two great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Linda

1Beadle and Judy Jackson; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Raymond D. Metzger; 
5and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Raymond Metzger as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
