SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Tiara Michelle Parks, who passed away on 
4April 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tiara Parks was born on August 5, 1992 to Michael 
6and Loretta Parks; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Tiara Parks attended Chicago International 
8Charter School-Longwood Academy from kindergarten through 12th 
9grade, graduating in 2010; she attended college at Southern 
10Illinois University at Edwardsville and Coyne College, where 
11she earned her degree in the Medical Assistant Program; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Tiara Parks will be remembered fondly as an 
13intelligent and very ambitious person who loved her family and 
14friends; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Tiara Parks is survived by her son, Jordyn, and 
16his father, Berto Mora; her parents; her brother, Derrick 
17(Latasha) Smith; her nieces, Jada, Janiya, and Jakayln; her 
18nephew, Jordan; her paternal grandmother, Arwildia Parks; and 
19many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Tiara Michelle Parks; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Tiara Parks as an expression of our 
6sympathy.
