SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frances B. Petric of Mequon, Wisconsin,
4who passed away on April 17, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Petric was born in Waukegan to Frank and
6Jennie (Jeray) Musich on February 12, 1917; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Frances Petric was a homemaker and an avid baker,
8often baking potica and cookies for family, friends, and church
9functions; she was a kind and cheerful mother and grandmother
10who always put her children's interests ahead of her own; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frances Petric was a member of St. Mary of the
12Annunciation Church in Mundelein and a longtime member of the
13former Mother of God Church in Waukegan; she was active in both
14churches and was a member of St. Anne's Lodge in Waukegan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Frances Petric was preceded in death by her
16parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Frank; her two
17sisters, Jeanne and Amelia; and her brothers, Frank, Albert,
18and William; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Frances Petric is survived by her sons, Jim
20(Karen) and Gary (Debbie); her daughter, Janet (Jim) Spoerke;

1her six grandchildren, Steven (Mary Kathryn), Sara (Dan), Nick,
2Katrina, Lauren, and Dan; her great-grandchild, Jonathan; and
3her brother, Joseph (Virginia) Musick; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Frances B. Petric, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Frances Petric as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
