| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Eva H. Sawyer of Hillside, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 4, 2016 at the age of 98; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Eva Sawyer was involved in flower shops for Mt. |
| 6 | | Carmel and Queen of Heaven Cemeteries; she was also the 5th |
| 7 | | District Chaplin for the American Legion Auxiliary and a member |
| 8 | | of the Hillside and Eisenhower Senior Citizens Clubs for many |
| 9 | | years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Eva Sawyer was the beloved wife of the late Harry |
| 11 | | F. "Junior" Sawyer, Sr.; the loving mother of Lucille (the late |
| 12 | | Gerald) Johnson and Harry F. (Diane) Sawyer, Jr.; the devoted |
| 13 | | grandmother of seven; the great-grandmother of 13; and the |
| 14 | | great-great-grandmother of one; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Eva H. Sawyer; and be |
| 18 | | it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Eva Sawyer as an expression of our |
| 21 | | sympathy.
