SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frank A. Belmont Jr. of Gurnee, who 
4passed away on April 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was born in Waukegan on January 
616, 1953; he attended Carmel High School and Southwest State 
7University in Marshall, Minnesota, where he played basketball; 
8he earned his master's degree from  Northeastern Illinois 
9University; he married Becky on June 11, 1993; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was a teacher, head basketball 
11coach, and athletic director at Carmel High School; he was also 
12a social studies teacher and head basketball coach at Waukegan 
13High School; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. is a member of the Carmel High 
15School and Southwest State University athletic halls of fame; 
16he was an avid sports fan, history buff, and enjoyed traveling 
17with his wife; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was preceded in death by his 
19father, Frank Belmont Sr., and his sister, Barbara Taylor; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. is survived by his wife, Becky;

1his mother, Mildred; his sister, Marianne Johnson; his 
2brothers, Michael (Karen) Belmont and John (Shannon) Belmont; 
3and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Frank A. Belmont Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Frank Belmont Jr. as an expression 
11of our deepest sympathy.
