SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Ella F. Hallas of Zion, who passed away 
4on April 15, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ella Hallas was born on March 12, 1916 in 
6Waukegan; her parents were Fabian and Mary Zlodi; she married 
7Rudolph Hallas in 1935 in Belvidere; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ella Hallas was educated in Waukegan schools; in 
91952, she went to work at Abbott Labs, where she retired in 
101972 after 20 years of service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ella Hallas was a member of the First United 
12Methodist Church in Waukegan and the Croatian Lodge; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Ella Hallas was preceded in death by her husband, 
14Rudolph; her daughter, Patricia (Chris) Anast; her five 
15siblings; and two grandsons; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Ella Hallas is survived by her son, Robert (Ellen) 
17Hallas; her granddaughter, Deborah (Randy) Roberts; her 
18grandson, Robert Anast; her four other grandchildren; her seven 
19great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Ella F. Hallas; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Ella Hallas as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
