| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Eddie D. Lee of Chicago; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Eddie Lee was born to Theodore and Erma Lee on |
| 5 | | March 12, 1951; he graduated from Du Sable Upper Grade Center |
| 6 | | and attended Du Sable High School; he served in the United |
| 7 | | States Army in Vietnam from August of 1968 to August of 1971; |
| 8 | | he was awarded the Army Accommodation Medal; he later attended |
| 9 | | the Himalayan Institute and a yoga and meditation center in |
| 10 | | Glenview; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Eddie Lee was united in marriage twice in his |
| 12 | | life; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Eddie Lee worked numerous jobs throughout his |
| 14 | | life, including Lem's Bar-B-Que House and as Head Custodian for |
| 15 | | the Chicago Housing Authority; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Eddie Lee enjoyed playing chess, playing pool, |
| 17 | | laughing, and joking; he was fluent in Spanish and always |
| 18 | | looked forward to the annual Robert Taylor Homes Picnic; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Eddie Lee is survived by his beloved son,
Chad |
| 20 | | Lee; his granddaughter, Haley Lee; his stepmother, Eliza Lee; |
|

| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 12 | | Eddie D. Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
| 13 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 15 | | presented to the family of Eddie Lee as an expression of our |
| 16 | | deepest sympathy.
