SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Betty J. Hettermann of Johnsburg, who
4passed away on May 7, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Hettermann was born in Chicago to John and
6Ann (Oertel) Dehn on August 18, 1928; she married James
7Hettermann at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg
8on May 13, 1950; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Betty Hettermann was a prominent business woman in
10McHenry for many years, serving as President of Charles
11Herdrich and Son; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Betty Hettermann was a longtime member of St. John
13the Baptist Catholic Church; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Betty Hettermann was preceded in death by her
15parents; her husband, James; her brothers, Richard and William
16Dehn; and her sisters, Joan (Ted) Beeskow and Rita (Bob)
17Fischer; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Betty Hettermann is survived by her two daughters,
19Joy (James) Boarini and Karen (David) Rothery; her son, Scott
20(Chris) Hettermann; her nephew, Ted (Sue) Stilling; her

1grandchildren, Eric (Amber) Boarini, Jennifer (Chris) McLeod,
2Amy (Matt) Golden, Julie (Brian) Chier, Brittany, Kelsey, and
3Andrew Hettermann, Mark (Jamie) Stilling, Kevin (Mendy)
4Stilling, Lisa (Raul) Chavez, and Michelle Stilling; her
5great-grandchildren, Claire, Abby, and Kate Golden, Caroline,
6Jack, and Max Chier, Myah Hettermann, Jaden, Melrose, Camrynn,
7and Tobie Stilling, and Joaquin and Emilia Chavez; and her
8sister-in-law, Catherine Dehn; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Betty J. Hettermann, and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Betty Hettermann as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
