SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Veronica Kapter of Waukegan, who passed
4away on February 7, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter was born on January 13, 1922 in
6North Chicago and lived in the Waukegan area since 1944; her
7parents were John and Angeline Prorok; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter retired from the United States
9Steel Corporation in 1975, where she worked as a cost
10accountant; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter was a member of Holy Rosary Church
12in North Chicago and Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter was a member and President of the
15Catholic Women's Club, a member of The Steelworkers Retirees
16Club and the Ladies Rosary Sodality of Holy Rosary Church, and
17a member of St. Elizabeth's Club of Holy Rosary Church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter was preceded in death by her
19husband, Adolph Kapter; her parents; her sisters, Stella
20Cyganek, Antoinette Rukowski, Victoria Collet, Mary Knox,

1Sally West, Cecilia Stuart, and Anna Prorok; and her brothers,
2John and Benedict Prorok; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Veronica Kapter is survived by her many nieces and
4nephews and a special great-niece, Jennifer (Tony) Mendez;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Veronica Kapter; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Veronica Kapter as an expression of
12our sympathy.
