SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles D. "Dinky" Moats II of Trevor,
4Wisconsin, who passed away on May 3, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was born in Louisville, Kentucky
6to Charles David Moats I and Patricia (Horne) and Andrew Banas
7on April 27, 1947; he proudly served in the United States
8Marine Corps in Vietnam; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II lived for 20 years in the Dallas,
10Texas area before moving to Antioch, where he lived for nine
11years; he settled in Trevor, Wisconsin three years ago; he
12married April Trelford on April 26, 2014; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was a career truck driver, most
14recently for Kix Kutzler, Inc. of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II loved restoring cars, his
16Harleys, the Chicago Cubs, and the Dallas Cowboys; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was preceded in death by his
18parents; his sister, Kathleen Borchers; his only grandchild,
19Dustin "D.J." Moats; and his aunt, Peggy Moats; and

1    WHEREAS, Charles Moats II is survived by his wife, April;
2his son, Scott Moats; his stepchildren, James Ferguson and
3Jennifer Green; his two step-grandchildren, Tristan and Liam;
4his siblings, Bruce (Jennifer) Moats, Maureen Berry Michael
5Moats, and Colleen (Thomas) Geer; his nieces, Jennifer Cook,
6Michelle Berry, Rachel Bunker, and Jayne Moats; his nephews,
7Michael Berry, John Borchers, Matthew Berry, Paul Montgomery,
8and Michael Moats; his uncle, Ronald Moats; his sisters-in-law,
9Joy Fogo and Pat Montsinger; nine cousins; four great-nephews;
10and six great-nieces; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Charles D. "Dinky" Moats II, and extend our sincere condolences
14to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
15it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Charles Moats II as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
