| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Charles D. "Dinky" Moats II of Trevor, | ||||||
| 4 | Wisconsin, who passed away on May 3, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was born in Louisville, Kentucky | ||||||
| 6 | to Charles David Moats I and Patricia (Horne) and Andrew Banas | ||||||
| 7 | on April 27, 1947; he proudly served in the United States | ||||||
| 8 | Marine Corps in Vietnam; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II lived for 20 years in the Dallas, | ||||||
| 10 | Texas area before moving to Antioch, where he lived for nine | ||||||
| 11 | years; he settled in Trevor, Wisconsin three years ago; he | ||||||
| 12 | married April Trelford on April 26, 2014; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was a career truck driver, most | ||||||
| 14 | recently for Kix Kutzler, Inc. of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II loved restoring cars, his | ||||||
| 16 | Harleys, the Chicago Cubs, and the Dallas Cowboys; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 18 | parents; his sister, Kathleen Borchers; his only grandchild, | ||||||
| 19 | Dustin "D.J." Moats; and his aunt, Peggy Moats; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Charles Moats II is survived by his wife, April; | ||||||
| 2 | his son, Scott Moats; his stepchildren, James Ferguson and | ||||||
| 3 | Jennifer Green; his two step-grandchildren, Tristan and Liam; | ||||||
| 4 | his siblings, Bruce (Jennifer) Moats, Maureen Berry Michael | ||||||
| 5 | Moats, and Colleen (Thomas) Geer; his nieces, Jennifer Cook, | ||||||
| 6 | Michelle Berry, Rachel Bunker, and Jayne Moats; his nephews, | ||||||
| 7 | Michael Berry, John Borchers, Matthew Berry, Paul Montgomery, | ||||||
| 8 | and Michael Moats; his uncle, Ronald Moats; his sisters-in-law, | ||||||
| 9 | Joy Fogo and Pat Montsinger; nine cousins; four great-nephews; | ||||||
| 10 | and six great-nieces; therefore, be it

| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 13 | Charles D. "Dinky" Moats II, and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
| 14 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
| 15 | it further

| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Charles Moats II as an expression of | ||||||
| 18 | our deepest sympathy.
