SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Georgia May Robinson of Fort Myers,
4Florida and Lincolnshire, who passed away on May 3, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was born September 6, 1926 in
6Detroit, Michigan; her parents were George and Lena Levin; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in
8biology from Elmhurst College and a Master of Science in
9education from the National College of Education; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was employed as a laboratory
11scientist at Armour Pharmaceuticals; she then worked as a
12preschool teacher and a Student Teacher Supervisor at National
13College of Education; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was a member of Congregation Am
15Echod; she was also a former President of the American
16Association of University Women Nursery School and the School
17Chairman at Am Echod School; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson was an accomplished artist and
19loved to teach mahjong and quilling to her many friends; she
20was a member of the Lexington Art Guild and the Deerpath Art

1Guild; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson is preceded in death by her
3parents; her brother, George Levin; and her sisters, Mildred
4Levin and Elinor Levin; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Georgia Robinson is survived by her loving
6husband, Ralph Robinson; her sons, Aron and Steve Robinson; her
7daughter-in-law, Mary Robinson; her grandchildren, Michael,
8Danny, and Amy; her sister, Mardell Matthews; her
9sisters-in-law, Lili and Sylvia; and many nieces and nephews;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Georgia May Robinson;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Georgia Robinson as an expression of
17our sympathy.
