SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Frank L. Skradski, Sr. of Rock Island, 
4who passed away on February 8, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Skradski, Sr. was born on September 6, 1939 
6in Waukegan; his parents were Frank G. and Ann Skradski; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Frank Skradski, Sr. worked as a chemist and safety 
8engineer for Stepan Chemical in Northbrook for two separate 
9stints, totaling close to 30 years; he was also self-employed 
10as a machinist and owned and operated The Old Appleford Inn in 
11Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and The Potter House in Rock Island; 
12for the last 14 years, he was employed at the Blackhawk 
13Education Center in Rock Island, where he worked as a teaching 
14aide helping children with special needs; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Frank Skradski, Sr. was an avid reader and a 
16longtime auto enthusiast; he loved sports cars, racing, and 
17most motor sports; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Skradski, Sr. was preceded in death by his 
19parents and his sister, Joanne Watson; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Skradski, Sr. is survived by his children,

1Jill (Rockney) Hudson, Frank (Gloria) Skradski, Jr., and Jackie 
2(Terry) Fleming, and his grandchildren, Allison, Cameron, 
3Rockney, Jr., Ian, and Nicholas; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Frank L. Skradski, 
7Sr.; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Frank Skradski, Sr. as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
