SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Theresa A. Skilling of Waukegan, who passed away on February 25, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was born in North Chicago to Adam and Mary Skrlac on July 30, 1924; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling worked at Pfansteel and Crystal Greetings, and spent many working years at the Consumers Cooperative Credit Union in the Waukegan branch; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was a former member of Mother of God and Holy Family Churches, the Waukegan Moose Lodge, KSKJ St. Mary Lodge #79 in Park Place, and the United Steel Workers Retirees Club; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling enjoyed Balina, Polka dancing, and making cookies; she also enjoyed telling and hearing a good joke and spending time with her family; she loved meeting every new member and teaching them how to make her hard candy and cookies; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her infant son, William; her parents; her brothers, John, Steven, William, and Joseph; and her sisters, Caroline, Mary, Katherine, and Stephanie; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling is survived by her daughter, Maryann (Dale) Cleaver; her 2 granddaughters, Denise (Rob) Ruby and Diane Cleaver; her great-granddaughter, Brianna (Michael); her great-great-grandson, Sean; her brothers, Michael (Alice) Skrlac and Matthew (Pat) Skrlac; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Theresa A. Skilling, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Theresa Skilling as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
