SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theresa A. Skilling of Waukegan, who
4passed away on February 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was born in North Chicago to Adam
6and Mary Skrlac on July 30, 1924; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling worked at Pfansteel and Crystal
8Greetings, and spent many working years at the Consumers
9Cooperative Credit Union in the Waukegan branch; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was a former member of Mother of
11God and Holy Family Churches, the Waukegan Moose Lodge, KSKJ
12St. Mary Lodge #79 in Park Place, and the United Steel Workers
13Retirees Club; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling enjoyed Balina, Polka dancing,
15and making cookies; she also enjoyed telling and hearing a good
16joke and spending time with her family; she loved meeting every
17new member and teaching them how to make her hard candy and
18cookies; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling was preceded in death by her
20husband, Earl; her infant son, William; her parents; her

1brothers, John, Steven, William, and Joseph; and her sisters,
2Caroline, Mary, Katherine, and Stephanie; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Theresa Skilling is survived by her daughter,
4Maryann (Dale) Cleaver; her 2 granddaughters, Denise (Rob) Ruby
5and Diane Cleaver; her great-granddaughter, Brianna (Michael);
6her great-great-grandson, Sean; her brothers, Michael (Alice)
7Skrlac and Matthew (Pat) Skrlac; and many nieces, nephews, and
8friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Theresa A. Skilling, and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Theresa Skilling as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
