SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joseph Valdez of McHenry, who passed away 
4on April 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was born in Memphis, Tennessee to 
6Baldomer and Liandia (Padilla) Valdez on October 16, 1948; he 
7served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1974; he 
8married Lauren Priest in Wheaton on June 15, 1990; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was a member of the Veterans of 
10Foreign Wars and PLAV in McHenry; he enjoyed fishing, 
11gardening, taking care of his lawn, and being outside on his 
12porch; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was preceded in death by his parents 
14and 5 brothers and sisters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez is survived by his wife, Lauren; his 
16children, Alexander Albert, Joey Jr., Kristina, Yani 
17(Danielle), and Nicole; 10 grandchildren; and 6 brothers and a 
18sister; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Joseph Valdez, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
3further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
