SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dennis D. Askam of Moline, who passed 
4away on May 20, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Askam was born in Iowa City, Iowa to Donald 
6and Arlene (Bloch) Askam on November 5, 1942; he married Judy 
7Pease in Rock Island on April 17, 1971; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dennis Askam worked as a clerk for the United 
9States Postal Service in Milan; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dennis Askam enjoyed watching sports, especially 
11the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dennis Askam was preceded in death by his parents; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dennis Askam is survived by his wife of 45 years, 
15Judy; his daughter, Mandy Vallee; his sisters, Doreen (Tom) 
16Devore and Annette Askam-Maas; and many nieces and nephews; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Dennis D. Askam, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
