SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bruce Arnold Moore Jr. of Alton, who
4passed away on May 31, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Moore Jr. was born in Chicago to Bruce
6Arnold Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Moore on May 6, 1939; he married
7Carole Jacobson in Alton on June 15, 1963; he earned a Bachelor
8of Science in Social Work from Ohio State University in 1964
9and a master's degree in social work from Wayne State
10University in 1967; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bruce Moore Jr. worked for 20 years in the
12Department of Mental Health for the State of Illinois; he
13retired from Florida Hospital in Orlando in 2009 after 15 years
14as a social worker and discharge planner; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bruce Moore Jr. enjoyed reading, gardening,
16camping, and taking walks in the woods; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bruce Moore Jr. was preceded in death by his
18parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bruce Moore Jr. is survived by his wife, Carole;
20his children, Steven Moore, Kimberly Moore, and Kristin Moore;

1his grandchildren, Alyssa, Kristena, and Lilly Moore; his
2brother, John Rose; and his sister, Jane Mueller; therefore, be
3it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Bruce Arnold Moore Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bruce Moore Jr. as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
