| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ric. Best of Zion, who passed away on May |
| 4 | | 29, 2016; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ric. Best was born in Waukegan on June 11, 1948 |
| 6 | | and graduated from North Chicago High School; he served with |
| 7 | | the United States Navy for four years; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ric. Best was a realtor for over 25 years with |
| 9 | | Century 21, serving all of the Lake County area; he was also a |
| 10 | | driving instructor for his family-owned driving school, Best |
| 11 | | School of Driving; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ric. Best enjoyed riding his motorcycle; he was |
| 13 | | interested in history and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ric. Best was preceded in death by his father, |
| 15 | | William H. Best, and his grandparents, George and Vera Best; |
| 16 | | and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Ric. Best is survived by his mother, Delores |
| 18 | | (Erickson) Best; his girlfriend of 20 years, Sandy Engberg; his |
| 19 | | children, Jennifer (Brad) Leffler, Crystal (Gabriel) Ramirez, |
| 20 | | and Charo (Jim) Buck; his grandchildren, Breanna (Tony), |
