SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ric. Best of Zion, who passed away on May
429, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ric. Best was born in Waukegan on June 11, 1948
6and graduated from North Chicago High School; he served with
7the United States Navy for four years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ric. Best was a realtor for over 25 years with
9Century 21, serving all of the Lake County area; he was also a
10driving instructor for his family-owned driving school, Best
11School of Driving; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ric. Best enjoyed riding his motorcycle; he was
13interested in history and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ric. Best was preceded in death by his father,
15William H. Best, and his grandparents, George and Vera Best;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ric. Best is survived by his mother, Delores
18(Erickson) Best; his girlfriend of 20 years, Sandy Engberg; his
19children, Jennifer (Brad) Leffler, Crystal (Gabriel) Ramirez,
20and Charo (Jim) Buck; his grandchildren, Breanna (Tony),

1Gabriel, Alexio, Noah, Arielle, Jimmy, Mason, Jake, and Jaxon;
2his great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Geni; his siblings, Bruce
3(Naomi) Best, Sue (Jim) Biederer, David Best, Cindi (Ed)
4Lasiowski, Julie Warczak, Mark (Linda) Best, and Vicki (David)
5Russell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Ric. Best, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
10friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Ric. Best as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
