SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stacy Selenak, who passed away on May 20,
42016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stacy Selenak was born on October 7, 1967; he
6attended Our Lady of Humanity grade school and St. Joseph High
7School, where he enjoyed Boy Scouts, basketball, baseball,
8bowling leagues, downhill skiing, junior golf leagues, and
9playing the trombone in the school band; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stacy Selenak worked for his father at Selenak's
11Carpet and at other flooring stores until recently when he
12found a new passion for flipping homes; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Stacy Selenak enjoyed hunting, fishing,
14snowmobiling, camping, canoeing, boating, water skiing,
15gardening, and cooking; he was actively involved in his
16family's baseball games, bike rides, bonfires, Easter egg
17hunts, sleepovers, fireworks, and parties; he also coached a
18Little League baseball team; he was especially excited about
19being a grandpa to baby Michelle; his grilled ribs could not be
20beat and he loved preparing deep fried turkeys and corned beef
21for family and friends; his travels took him to Germany, Texas,
22Arkansas, Jamaica, Canada, and Hawaii, where he loved to scuba

2    WHEREAS, Stacy Selenak was preceded in death by his
3grandparents, Leo and Francis Selenak, and Tony and Freda
4Kuznik; his cousin, Aaron Kuznik; his father, Denis Selenak;
5his stepdad, Don Susman; and his dog, Zoey; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Stacy Selenak is survived by his son, Ryan Koski;
7his granddaughter, Michelle Koski; his mother, Diane
8Selenak-Susman; his sister, Shannon (Matt) Wamser; his uncle,
9Tony Kuznik; and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Stacy Selenak, and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Stacy Selenak as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
