SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Aubrey Covault, Jr. of Moline, who passed
4away on June 6, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. was born on June 29, 1930 in
6Moline; his parents were Aubrey Byron and Edith Mae Hannah
7Covault; he married Valerie Heaton on April 8, 1977 in Moline;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. proudly served in the United
10States Marine Corps in the 1950s; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. worked in the gas department
12for Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric (now MidAmerican) for 30
13years until his retirement in 1991; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. was a member of the Masonic
15Lodge and Temple in Moline and Milan; in his younger years, he
16enjoyed woodworking and horses; he was an avid outdoorsman and
17a reader of medical health journals; he also loved spending
18time with his family and friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. was preceded in death by his
20parents and his nephew, Michael Swank; and

1    WHEREAS, Aubrey Covault, Jr. is survived by his former wife
2and eternal friend, Valerie Covault; his daughters, Trisha
3Heaton Murphy, Stacy Heaton Houk (William) Brackett, and Robin
4Heaton (Parr) Schoolman; his grandchildren, Joshua Houk,
5Aubrey Murphy, Kody and Jarrett Brackett, and Makenna, Myah,
6and P.T. Schoolman; his great-granddaughter, Lillie Marie
7Houk; his brothers, William (Elaine) Covault and Gary Covault;
8his sister, Doris Bucherer; and several nieces and nephews;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Aubrey Covault, Jr.;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Aubrey Covault, Jr. as an expression
16of our sympathy.
