SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Sheldon Ross of East Moline, who passed 
4away on May 29, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was born on October 2, 1932 in 
6Moline; his parents were Everett and Esther Anderson Ross; he 
7married Margurite "Marge" Hinrichsen on December 27, 1952 in 
8Rock Island; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross served in the United States Air Force 
10from 1952 to 1956; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was employed by Eagle Signal for 29 
12years and the Rock Island Arsenal for five years before 
13retiring in 1990; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross and his wife traveled extensively and 
15enjoyed square dancing, playing bridge, and spending winters in 
16southern Texas for 21 years; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross was preceded in death by his parents; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Sheldon Ross is survived by his wife, Margurite;

1his children, David and Pam Ross and Cathy and Chip Lee; his 
2grandchildren, Mike (Kayla) Ross, Kyle Ross, Hannah Lee, and 
3Mat Lee; his sister, Nancy Polios; and several nieces and 
4nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Sheldon Ross; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Sheldon Ross as an expression of our 
11sympathy.
