SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis B. Hannig of Springfield, who
4passed away on June 12, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig was born on August 7, 1928; his
6parents were Louis J. Hannig and Mary Hannig; he married
7LaWanda Hensley on August 4, 1951; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig graduated from White City Grade
9School before graduating from Mt. Olive Community High School
10in 1946; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig worked for the Illinois Central
12Railroad and ran several small businesses over his lifetime in
13the insurance, real estate, restaurant, commodities,
14agriculture, and automotive industries; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig was active in the Knights of
16Columbus, Macoupin County Democratic politics, and the
17Staunton Country Club; he also coached youth baseball; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig enjoyed hunting and fishing; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Louis Hannig is survived by his wife, LaWanda; his

1sons, Gary (Betsy), Terry (Kathi), Randy, Gregory, and Louis J.
2(Julie); his grandchildren, Randy Jr., Elliott, Olivia,
3Jessica, Sam, and Nicholas Hannig; and his great-grandson, Max
4Hannig; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis B. Hannig; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Louis Hannig as an expression of our
11sympathy.
