SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Darnell Lee Langston, who passed away on 
4June 16, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Darnell Langston was born in Chicago on March 29, 
61982; he attended McKinley Junior High School and Thornwood 
7High School in South Holland, where he excelled in wrestling 
8and football; he earned three varsity letters for wrestling and 
9two for football and was All-Conference in both sports; he also 
10attended Northern Illinois University; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Darnell Langston recently worked for FedEx; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Darnell Langston was affectionately known as "Big 
13Teddy Bear" by his mother and as "Superman" by his friends; he 
14was a member of Freedom Church Ministries; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Darnell Langston is survived by his loving mother, 
16Nina Graham; his brothers, Donald, Jomyron, and Jeron; and a 
17host of relatives and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Darnell Lee Langston, and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to  the family of  Darnell Langston as an expression of
