SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marilyn Scanlan, who passed away on June
419, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilyn Scanlan was born on November 4, 1929 in
6Chicago; her parents were William and Caroline Heuel; she
7married Frank Scanlan on June 27, 1964 at Queen of All Saints
8Basilica in Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marilyn Scanlan was an active member of St. Thomas
10the Apostle Church, where she volunteered at the Little
11Christopher's resale shop for 41 years; she was a former
12employee of Commonwealth Edison and an active member of the
13Edison Choraliers choral group; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Marilyn Scanlan enjoyed gardening, reading, and
15being a grandmother; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marilyn Scanlan was preceded in death by her
17husband, Frank, and her brothers, James Heuel and William
18Heuel, Jr.; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marilyn Scanlan is survived by her children, Kevin
20Scanlan and Brian (Theresa) Scanlan, and her grandchildren,

1Kaitlyn and Ryan Scanlan; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilyn Scanlan; and
5be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Marilyn Scanlan as an expression of
8our sympathy.
