SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Vanessa Davis Coleman of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on June 22, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was born in Chicago to William and 
6Virginia Davis on October 16, 1959; she graduated  from North 
7Chicago High School in 1979; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was employed by the Waukegan 
9School District for many years; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman was preceded in death by her 
11parents and her  son, Andre Bradshaw Sr.; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Vanessa Coleman is survived by her husband, David 
13Coleman Jr.; her son, Kevin Bradshaw Jr.; her  stepdaughter, 
14Nigel Robinson; her grandsons, Andre Bradshaw Jr. and Phalair 
15Carter; her granddaughter, Nurye Carter; her  brother, Virgil 
16Davis; her stepson, Timothy Smith; her  first  husband, Kevin 
17Bradshaw Sr.; her  special lifelong friends, Debra Bradshaw and 
18Cynthia Ross; and many other relatives and loved ones; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Vanessa Davis Coleman, and extend our sincere condolences to 
3her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Vanessa Coleman as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
