SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert "Bruce" Stevenson Jr. of Sun City, 
4who passed away on June 2, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson Jr. was born in Elgin to Robert 
6B. and Helen (Deak) Stevenson on September 11, 1939; he 
7graduated from Elgin High School in 1958 and remained in the 
8Elgin area for his entire life; he proudly served in the United 
9States Navy from September of 1958 through 1962; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson Jr. will be best remembered for 
11his passion for volunteering for Christian Rock concerts; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson Jr. was preceded in death by his 
13parents; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Stevenson Jr. is survived by his wife of 48 
15years, Kay (Kellermann) Stevenson; his daughters, Rebecca 
16(Jeff) Crownover and Sara (Dan) Sitkie; his granddaughters, 
17Heather and Emily Sitkie; and other extended family members; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Robert "Bruce" Stevenson Jr., and extend our sincere 
2condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
3him; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to  the family of  Robert Stevenson Jr. as an 
6expression of our deepest sympathy.
