SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dave A. Montgomery of Milan, who passed 
4away on June 27, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery was born on November 20, 1951 in 
6Rock Island; his parents were Lloyd and Thelma Teel Montgomery; 
7he married Gayle Magerkurth on August 20, 1977 in Rock Island 
8and later divorced; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery was a United States Marine Corps 
10veteran; after his time in the service, he graduated from Black 
11Hawk College; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery worked for John Deere Harvester 
13for 40 years until his retirement in 2014; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery enjoyed working with his hands, 
15riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery was preceded in death by his 
17father and his sister, Pamela Kipp; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dave Montgomery is survived by his daughters, Amy 
19(Mike) Lavery and Abby (Jerry) Hoggard; his granddaughters,

1Andi and Gracie Lavery and Addison and Taylor Hoggard; his 
2mother; his siblings, Mark (Pat) Montgomery, Brad (Carla) 
3Montgomery, Tracey (Toni) Montgomery, and Monte Montgomery; 
4and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Dave A. Montgomery; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Dave Montgomery as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
