SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Barbara K. Ryan of Des Plaines, who 
4passed away on July 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was born in Chicago on April 9, 1948; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was the Director of the Des Plaines 
8Chamber of Commerce for the last 10 years; and
  
 

  
9    WHEREAS, Barbara Ryan was the beloved wife of Richard Ryan; 
10the dear mother of Beth Ann (Matthew) Lunow, Jeffrey (Stacy) 
11Ryan, and Colleen (James) Shilling; the loving grandmother of 
12Luke, William, Conor, Emma, Grace, Lily, Caleigh, and Claire; 
13the fond sister of Joanne (Verlyn) Scheckel, Sister Angele 
14Lutgen (Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary), Carolyn 
15Lutgen, Patricia (James) Ninko, and John (Kathleen) Lutgen; and 
16the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and devoted 
17friend to many; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Barbara K. Ryan, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
21family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
