SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Louis J. "Lou" Gnadt III, who passed away 
4on July 20, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Gnadt III was born on August 29, 1949 in 
6Chicago; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Louis Gnadt III was a member of the first 
8graduating class from Stevenson High School; he served as a 
9volunteer firefighter with the Vernon Fire Protection District 
10and moved his way up the ranks to Captain before his retirement 
11in 1998 after 31 years of service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Louis Gnadt III enjoyed making jokes, talking 
13about sports and his family, and playing bingo and blackjack; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Louis Gnadt III was preceded in death by his 
16parents, Buzz and Dolores; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Louis Gnadt III is survived by his wife, Deb 
18Gammon; his brothers, Allen (Patsy) Gnadt and Dave (Pat) Gnadt; 
19his sisters-in-law, Sandy (Bob) Kliver, Wendy (Gene) Gabry, and 
20Kim (Rodney Dawson) Gammon; his nieces and nephews, Theresa,

1Christina, Margaret, Allison, Mike, Dave, Megan, Beth, and 
2Carrie; his godchildren, Christie, Brian, and Kristina; and his 
3nephews of the heart, Ben and Scott; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis J. "Lou" Gnadt 
7III; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Louis Gnadt III as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
