SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arthur Walker of Lake Bluff, who passed
4away on July 30, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker was born on September 1, 1937 in
6Waukegan; his parents were Paul Walker and Wanda Hanzel Walker;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker attended Holy Family Church and
9School in North Chicago and Waukegan and North Chicago High
10Schools; he later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
11from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker served in the United States Army
13from 1957 to 1960; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker worked as a police officer for the
15City of Lake Forest for over 10 years until March of 1975, when
16he accepted the newly-created position of Chief Investigator
17for the Lake County State's Attorney's Office; his first duty
18while working for State's Attorney Jack Hoogaisian was to
19establish a complete criminal investigative unit; within 30
20days, the unit was in place and it remains in operation today;

1    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker is preceded in death by his second
2wife, Nicki M. Walker; his parents; his sister, Bernadette
3Walker Maloney; and his dogs, "Bing" and "Butler"; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Arthur Walker is survived by his wife, Elena
5Walker; his daughters, Maria Walker Robinson (Raymond),
6Kathryn Walker-Eich, and Betsey Walker; his sons, Paul (Pamela)
7Walker and John Walker; eight grandchildren; and several
8nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Arthur Walker; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Arthur Walker as an expression of
15our sympathy.
