SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles L. Nack of Hampshire, who passed
4away on July 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Nack was born to Leon and Ruth Nack on
6July 23, 1949; he graduated from Carl Schurz High School in
7Chicago and United States Air Force Basic Training and Aircraft
8Mechanic Technical School; during the Vietnam War, he served as
9an instructor with the U.S. Air Force in Japan and stateside;
10he married Elizabeth in 1976; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Following his military service, Charles Nack
12worked as a millwright for Local Union 1693, retiring after
13over 40 years of service; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Charles Nack was an avid fisherman, beekeeper, and
15woodworker; he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States;
16he had an adventurous spirit and sought out unique experiences,
17including staying in an ice house, dog sledding, and riding in
18hot air balloons and glider planes; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Charles Nack is survived by his wife of 40 years,
20Elizabeth; his son, Mark (Laura) Nack; his sister, Kathie
21Hertel; his brother-in-law, Fred (Sue) Solleder; his

1grandchildren, Tyler and Charli Nack; and his nieces and
2nephews, Lisa (Brian) Gilbertson, Brian (Melissa) Hertel, Fred
3Solleder Jr., Bill (Shea) Solleder, and Jennifer (Zack) Dryden;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Charles L. Nack, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Charles Nack as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
