| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Walter "Wally" Kelsch of Naperville, who |
| 4 | | passed away on August 13, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was born October 13, 1926 in |
| 6 | | Naperville; his parents were John and Wilhelmina "Minnie" |
| 7 | | Kelsch; he married Betty Kelsch on September 3, 1955; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch grew up in Naperville and attended |
| 9 | | Naper Elementary School and Naperville High School; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch served with the United States Army |
| 11 | | from 1945 to 1946 and was part of the Occupation of Japan after |
| 12 | | World War II; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was employed with Moser Lumber in |
| 14 | | Naperville for 35 years; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was a member of Bethany Lutheran |
| 16 | | Church and Judd Kendall Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 in |
| 17 | | Naperville; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch enjoyed bowling; he was also an |
| 19 | | enthusiastic fan of the Chicago White Sox and a proud member of |
|

| 1 | | the Centennial Beach Bums; and |
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 3 | | Betty; his parents; and his siblings, Ada, Adam, John, |
| 4 | | Frederick, Billy, Molly, Alma, Carl, Otto, and Jeanette; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Walter Kelsch was the father of Jodi (Larry) |
| 6 | | Springborn and Dave (Dawn) Kelsch; the grandfather of Kyle |
| 7 | | Springborn and Ryan (Kim), Austin, and Jackson Kelsch; the |
| 8 | | great-grandfather of Eleanor Kelsch; the brother-in-law of |
| 9 | | Norman (Ginger) Kelml; and the uncle, great-uncle, and friend |
| 10 | | of many; therefore, be it
|
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter "Wally" Kelsch; |
| 14 | | and be it further
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 16 | | presented to the family of Walter Kelsch as an expression of |
| 17 | | our sympathy.
