SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Norman Bentley Luse of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on July 30, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Norman Luse was born on August 26, 1933 in Moline; 
6his parents were Charles R. and Mary E. Whitehead Luse; he 
7graduated from United Township High School in East Moline and 
8attended Eureka College for two years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Norman Luse served in the United States Army from 
101954 to 1956; he was later employed by the Rock Island Arsenal, 
11retiring as a warehouseman after 20 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Norman Luse was a member of First Christian Church 
13in Moline; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Norman Luse enjoyed watching college sports, 
15painting, and spending time with his family; he was also a 
16phenomenal artist and loved painting with oils, pencils, and 
17brushes; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Norman Luse is survived by his brothers, Charles 
19(Shirley) Luse and Tom (Jan) Luse; his sister, Elvira (Lonard) 
20Blansett; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Norman Bentley Luse; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Norman Bentley Luse as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
