SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Ronald L. "Ron" Egan of East Dundee, who 
4passed away on November 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Egan was born on September 21, 1947 in 
6Chicago; his parents were John and Dorothy Egan; he was a 
7lifelong resident of the Dundee area; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronald Egan was a highly decorated veteran of the 
9United States Army during the Vietnam War; he was awarded the 
10Silver Star, the Bronze Star with "V" Device, four Purple 
11Hearts, the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense 
12Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze 
13Service Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, the 
14Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon with Device, the Expert 
15Badge with Auto Rifle Bar with Machine Gun Bar, the Marksman 
16Badge with Rifle Bar, and the Parachutist Badge - Basic for his 
17service; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Ronald Egan was a member of the Dundee Veterans of 
19Foreign Wars #2298; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, Ronald Egan is survived by his siblings, Judith 
21Jerald, John (Nicole) Egan, and Patricia Del Giudice; his niece

1and nephews, Jamison, Derek, Drew, Regan, Michael, Sean, Matt, 
2and David; and many godchildren and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronald L. "Ron" Egan; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Ronald Egan as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
