SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene H. Latz of Lindenhurst, who passed
4away on August 22, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Latz was born in Waukegan to Frank and Anna
6Latz on March 31, 1937; he was a member of the first graduating
7class of North Chicago High School in 1955; he earned his
8bachelor's degree and master's degree in education from
9Northern Illinois University; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eugene Latz worked as a teacher, administrator,
11and superintendent with Zion School District 6; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eugene Latz enjoyed spending time camping,
13traveling, and completing projects around his home; he was a
14volunteer for Vista West Hospital in Lindenhurst; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eugene Latz was preceded in death by his parents
16and his brothers, Ronald and Clifford; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Latz is survived by his wife of 56 years,
18Cecile; his children, Denise (Greg) Guido, Keith Latz, and
19Kathy (Ron) Goforth; his grandsons, David and Kristopher Latz,
20Ben and Matthew Goforth, and Nicholas Guido; and his

1great-grandson, Logan Latz; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Eugene H. Latz, and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Eugene Latz as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
