SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Ann Barrett of Lakewood, who passed
4away on July 25, 2016 at the age of 80; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Barrett worked as a secretary at the
6Federal Bureau of Investigation; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Barrett enjoyed painting, golfing,
8complex puzzles, baking kolachkes cookies, and hosting many
9noteworthy parties with The BIG R; she also learned to fly a
10plane, learned calligraphy, and took lessons in handwriting
11analysis; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Barrett was preceded in death by her
13husband, Robert M. Barrett; her parents, Donald and Marie
14Behringer; and her brother, Donald (Ann) Behringer; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mary Ann Barrett was the mother of Robert (Jenny),
16Linda, William (Lynda), Martin (Lisa), Michael, and Anthony;
17the cherished grandmother to Kyle (Meghan), Sara (Garth),
18Matthew, Bobby, Trevor, Josh, Michael, Jason, Rebecca (Randy),
19and Matthew (Kristin); and the great-grandmother of eight; she
20is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen (Harold Marthinsen)
21and Cornelia (Emil Schwarz); her sister-in-law, Ann Behringer;

1and many extended family members; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary Ann Barrett; and
5be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Mary Ann Barrett as an expression of
8our sympathy.
