SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John J. Huff of McHenry, who passed away
4on August 16, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Huff was born in Johnsburg to Albert and
6Kathryn (Michels) Huff on January 13, 1938; he served in the
7United States Army and married Judith Stilling at St. Joseph
8Catholic Church in Richmond on October 21, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, John Huff worked for Commonwealth Edison for 34
10years, where he also served as a Union Steward and Recording
11Secretary; most recently, he was employed at Lockers Flowers in
12McHenry; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Huff volunteered as an usher at St. Patrick
14Catholic Church for over 50 years; he was a proud member of the
15Catholic Order of Foresters; and
 
16    WHEREAS, John Huff was preceded in death by his parents,
17Albert and Kathryn; his in-laws, William and Ottilia Stilling;
18and his sister, Shirley (Bud) Lieser; and
 
19    WHEREAS, John Huff is survived by his wife of 54 years,
20Judith; his children, Jeff (Denise) Huff, John (Nancy) Huff,

1and Colleen (Doug) Kurzynski; his grandchildren, Josh Huff,
2Evan Huff, Jarrett Huff, Lindsey Huff, Katie Huff, Sam Huff,
3Baylee Kurzynski, John Kurzynski, and Connor Kurzynski; his
4sisters, Betsy (Roger) Moehling, Eileen Huff, and Jan (Terry)
5Tvaroh; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8John J. Huff, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of John Huff as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
