SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth A. Pedersen of Wonder Lake, who
4passed away on August 14, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was born in Chicago to Chris A.
6and Mildred M. (Helland) Pedersen on June 7, 1940; he married
7Arlene M. Brockman at Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago
8and they settled in Palatine; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen worked as a sheet metal worker
10for Union Local 73 for over 50 years; he retired in 2001; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen and his wife bought a summer
12house in Wonder Lake in 1989; in 1999, they decided to make it
13their permanent residence; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was a member of the Wonder Lake
15Sportsman's Club; he was on the Board of Directors for the
16Wonder Lake M.P.O.A.; he enjoyed hunting and fishing; he loved
17to be around his family and enjoyed taking family and friends
18out on his boat; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen was preceded in death by his
20parents and his brother-in-law, Robert; and

1    WHEREAS, Kenneth Pedersen is survived by his wife, Arlene;
2his children, Rita (Joe) Gross, Renee (Rick) Marek, Charles
3"Chuck" (Darlene) Pedersen, and Dawn (Mike) Slone; his
4grandchildren, Brian, Lindsey (Jeff), Skye (Matt), Casey,
5Tiffany, Amy, Ryan, Cody, Dakota, and Brianna; his
6great-grandchildren; his sisters, Janet (Arnie) Rutkowski and
7Marilyn Ostovits; and his brothers, Richard (Mary) Pedersen and
8Gary (Mary Ellen) Pedersen; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Kenneth A. Pedersen, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Kenneth Pedersen as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
