SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Rosalie W. Smith of Spring Grove, who 
4passed away on August 18, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was born in Chicago to William and 
6Florence (Schwartz) Linden on June 25, 1942; she married Robert 
7L. "Bob" Smith at St. Mary Church on May 13, 1961; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was employed as a nurse at McHenry 
9Hospital for over 20 years; she later worked as an office 
10manager and nurse at an allergist office in Crystal Lake for 
11over 15 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was a member of St. Peter's Church 
13of Spring Grove; she enjoyed traveling, reading,  sewing, and 
14arts and crafts; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her daughter, Kimberly Quinn; her sister, Arlene 
17Salvatore; and her brothers-in-law, Jim Salvatore and Del 
18Morrison; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Rosalie Smith is survived by her husband of 55 
20years, Robert; her sons, Bradley (Kathleen) Smith and

1Christopher (Diane) Smith; her grandchildren, Stephen, Kane, 
2Colin, and Samantha; her great-grandchild, Carson; her sister, 
3Shirley Morrison; her sister-in-law, Nancy Piccony; and her 
4brother-in-law, Lloyd (Patti) Smith; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Rosalie W. Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Rosalie Smith as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
